Under the new terms of our contract ALL patients now have been allocated a named GP.

If you wish to know which doctor is your named GP, please ask next time you are in the surgery or telephone and ask one of the Reception Team which GP is your allocated GP. If you wish to request a particular doctor please speak to a Receptionist.


If your child has not received his or her 1st or 2nd MMR vaccination. Please telephone to make an appointment with the Practice Nurse. It is important to be fully vaccinated to stop your child being ill with measles. Measles is very contagious and CAN BE LIFE THREATENING

Please call our main switchboard number on 01908 318989 to book an appointment at either our main practice or one of our branch surgeries.

Test Results
On average please allow 2 working days for your test results to come back from the hospital unless your doctor has advised otherwise. Please note that X-ray results take a little longer, usually 10-12 days. For your test results please telephone the surgery on 01908 318989.

How to Get a Prescription

medication6If you think you may need a NEW prescription medicine, please make an Telephone appointment with the doctor. 

Your local pharmacist should be able to give you advice for non-prescription medication.

Repeat rescriptions are normally for patients with long-term conditions who receive regular treatment. Your doctor will decide who can have a repeat prescription. From time to time we will ask you to see your doctor to review your medication. We do this to monitor your illness and medication.

You can ask for a repeat prescription: by coming into the surgery when the reception is open; by post; or by ordering via System Online, you will need a special login for this, please contact the surgery to arrange for this to be set up. Wherever possible please give the exact drug names when ordering.

We cannot take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions because of the possibility of error.


Please give 48 hours notice when requesting a repeat prescription that is listed on your repeat prescription list. For Prescription requests for additional acute items please allow 72 hours. It may be necessary for you to speak to a doctor for additional acute medication requests.


We encourage patients to order in advance and we will only consider requests for URGENT MEDICATION for DIABETES DRUGS, RESPIRATORY DRUGS AND GTN SPRAY. All other items will be treated as repeat prescriptions.


If you normally get your prescription from a dedicated pharmacy they may be able to give you a small emergency supply whilst awaiting the prescription to be processed.


If you run out of your medication over the weekend or when we are closed and not taking your medication would have a severe effect on your health please in the first instance talk to a pharmacy to see if they are able to give you an emergency supply. If they are unable to assist please attend the walk in centre for assistance or telephone 111.
